What's in a name!

                         Zoe
I can still remember when I first heard the name  ' Zoe Maree' and thinking at the time, what  a lovely name, it's unusual but I really like it.   It  seemed to strike a cord with me at the time and I put it into the back of my mind for future reference. Looking back now I believe that this was all part of the divine plan.  When our first daughter arrived we  named  her Melanie Jayne, I think my mother had a little bit to do with naming Mel as it was her favourite name from the movie 'Gone with the Wind.'  I did not mind as I also loved the name.  When  our second daughter arrived, it took us  a couple of days to name her. We contemplated calling her Zoe Maree but I think because Zoe, at the time was quite an unusual name, we also considered calling her Susan.  But Zoe seemed to suit our beautiful little baby girl.     I did not know the meaning of Zoe then but  somewhere along the way I must have looked into the meaning of names.  Zoe was a beautiful loving soul and her name was perfect for her.

Zoe means Life!

'She is sensitive and caring, her tenderness is given freely, the oppressed are taken to heart, bringing a smile to their faces and warmth to their hearts, impressionable, romantic and expressive her love has no bounds, for she has such capacity to share and give, one who enjoys the little things in life.'

On our trip home from Melbourne when Zoe was first diagnosed with leukaemia, my husband affectionately called Zoe, "Z."  An image came to me of her car keys with her Z on them and then the thought of what Zoe means.  I asked Zoe, 'Do you know what your name means?' and she said, 'life.'  Oh the comfort this brought to me!  She will live, how could she die when her name means life.  This was definitely a sign from the angels.  During one of our visits to the doctor, I told him she was going to be OK, as her name meant life.  I think he thought I was a little strange, and Zoe was not too impressed with my statement either.  Of course I was hanging on to my daughter with every ounce of my being.  After all, as her mother it was my job to save her.    I couldn't understand why I was shown this sign, but after Zoe passed, I came across this information when reading a book. The author spoke of  'Zoe Life.'  Zoe is a God kind of life or eternal life.  The author referred to the bible verse below.

"I  have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

(John 10:10).

This was a revelation and sign that did help me to understand why we chose her name and I was being shown from the bigger picture that Zoe did indeed have eternal life.

ps.  Just recently I had a mini reading with a medium and the message was.......... ( does the name Susan mean anything to you ? Zoe is showing me this name and  winking!!!!!!)
