Wings of Love

Jon Rainford
Your Love is Lifting Me Higher

Your love, lifting me higher
Than I've ever been lifted before
So keep it up
quench my desire
And I'll be at your side, forever more

[Chorus]
You know your love (your love keeps lifting me)
Keep on lifting (love keeps lifting me)
Higher (lifting me)
Higher and higher (higher)
I said your love (your love keeps lifting me)
Keep on (love keeps lifting me)
Lifting me (lifting me)
Higher and higher (higher)

Now once, I was downhearted
Disappointment was my closest friend
But then you came, and it soon departed
And you know he never
Showed his face again

[Chorus]
That's why your love (your love keeps lifting me)
Keep on lifting (love keeps lifting me)
Higher (lifting me)
Higher and higher (higher)
I said your love (your love keeps lifting me)
Keep on (love keeps lifting me)
Lifting me (lifting me)
Higher and higher (higher)

I'm so glad, I've finally found you
Yes that one-in-a-million girl
And I whip my loving arms around you
I can stand up, and face the world

(This song was on the radio on Zoe's 8th anniversary and I really felt like it was a message to me.  I heard it again yesterday, after hearing another of Zoe's songs when I walked into Target shopping centre.  I googled the lyrics to send to a friend and on the same page was this lovely 'Wings of Love' picture by artist Jon Rainford.  The song really does lift your spirits.)

Yesterday's Children

Absolutely loved this movie and sobbed my way through it.  Very powerful message to me about survival of the soul and the abiding power of a mother's love.
This movie is based on a true story of Jenny Cockell many years ago, and of her riveting account about her past life as Mary Sutton, a young Irishwoman who died over 20 years before Jenny was born.  She was a  mother of a young family and married to an abusive man. Jenny was able to remember parts of her past life since she was a young child, and it is only in her adulthood that the memories become stronger until she finally decides to verify the memories for herself.
In the movie version, Jane Seymour plays Jenny Cole, who resides in the US with her husband and teenage son. Though Jenny has recalled some aspects of her past life since she was a young girl, her memories become clearer through vivid dreams in which she sees herself as Mary Sutton, a woman living with an abusive husband and four young children, Sonny, Jeffrey, Frank, and Elizabeth. Jenny, with the support of her mother, undergoes regression, and her past-life memories surface. Jenny also undertakes a journey to Ireland with her son (her husband is a skeptic for most of the movie) to see if there is any credibility to her memories(though in her mind and heart there is no doubt), and to discover what actually happened to her 'children' from her past life after their mother's death in 1932.

Jane Seymour's portrayal as the distraught Jenny is so credibly portrayed, her determination and love for her 'past life children' come across as honest and poignant.  I just love what the Catholic priest tells Jenny in the movie. In response to Jenny's question, "The Catholic church doesn't believe in reincarnation, does it Father?", and the priest responds, "No, but it does believe in the survival of the soul." This is a movie that has captured my heart and will appeal to those who are interested in survival of the soul and the power of  maternal love.

I have also read the book by the same name.  Jenny's constant dream-memory is of Mary dying alone and desperately worried at the thought of leaving her children behind.
When her own children were born Jenny finally acknowledged that she had to find her lost family.  She needed to to know what became of them.  That she succeeded in uncovering the past, finding her lost children and reuniting her family is a testament to Jenny Cockell's courage and determination.  Jenny's fascinating story is living proof of what she always knew to be true - that she had lived before.

Lady Bug signs

Ladybugs are also called Lady Beetles (since they are actually a member of the beetle family). Think it's a funny name for a bug? Well, the story goes that in the Middle Ages aphids were destroying everybody's crops. So the farmers prayed to the Virgin Mary for help. A while later the farmers started to notice these cute little bugs that were eating the aphids and saving their crops. So they called the Lady Bugs after "Our Lady" Mary.
This tiny little beetle brings with it a powerful message. Because the life cycle of the adult ladybug is short it teaches us how to release worries and enjoy our lives to the fullest.  Seen often as a messenger of promise, the ladybug reconnects us with the joy of living. Fear and joy can not co-exist. We need to release our fears and return to love - this is one of the messages that the ladybug brings to us.  When it appears in our life it is telling us to "let go and let God."

Seeing a ladybug on my wall  after asking Zoe for a sign, I felt that through the Ladybug's connection to Mary it  was a gentle reminder  that Mother Mary was taking care of my worries and concerns.  I had previously asked for Mary's help in this situation.  A sense of calm and peace came over me.  Even more amazing is that I shared this story with a friend and before she had a chance to read it, she had also had an experience with a ladybug.  Buying flowers for a gift, she noticed wooden lady bugs on the counter and purchased some to go with the flowers.  Such synchronicity amazes me.

The Clock Sign

My sister's Zoe experience

'I’m not sure when it happened but it was sometime after Zoe passed away that I had a strange experience.  I woke up in the middle of the night and my first instinct was to look at the digital clock on our bed head.  It was 2.03 a.m. but the clock was actually displaying Zoe’s name, the 3 turned around to look like an ‘e’.  I thought ‘Zoe is here’ and I felt a bit scared.  I blinked my eyes to make sure I wasn’t dreaming and looked again and it was still displaying Zoe’s name.  I thought of waking Robert up but then I decided he would tell me I was only being silly so I didn’t.  Then it was 2.04 a.m. and my Zoe experience came to an end.'

My Mini reading with AOK Angels

Sharing my latest message from my beautiful daughter Zoe.  This message was so comforting as I felt like Zoe was acknowledging everything I had done for her.  Not only through the song but through the cd.  Incidently, Forever Friends are my favourite cards that I buy and Zoe's favourite flower is the gerbera.  Once again Zoe has communicated through music.

Zoe knows how to contact me for you. Not pulling any cards; no need
Ail Wait Thank you Michelle xo that's wonderful will check out the lyrics and thank you Zoe xxxxxxxxx

Ail Wait I noticed the gerberas Michelle and was so hoping for a message. Thank you so much. Very comforting.

Thanks so much everyone That's our 10 readings for tonight. Some deep messages and even some tears for me. Connecting with spirit is on an emotional level that is why you often find tears falling down your checks when you meditate. It means that you have gone deep and connected with the energies of spirit. I hope that your messages bring you clarity in the days ahead. For those who missed take comfort in knowing that others required them more tonight and that you may be going better than some even if you don't feel that to be true. Its all about Divine Timing and synchronicity. Tonight’s messages were guided by music which often touches the soul and brings you great guidance through the words. Pay attention to repeated messages in music.

Michelle

Angels

Make yourself familiar with the angels and behold them frequently in spirit; for without being seen, they are present with you.
- St. Francis De Sales

Trust

All the hardships that you face in life,
all the tests and tribulations,
all the nightmares,
and all the losses,
most people still view as curses,
as punishments by God,
...
as something negative.
If you would only know
that nothing that comes to you is negative.
I mean nothing.
All the trials and tribulations,
and the biggest losses that you ever experience,
things that make you say,
"If I had known about this,
I would never have been able to make it through,"
are gifts to you,
opportunities that you are given to grow.
That is the sole purpose of existence
on this planet Earth.
You will not grow if you sit in a beautiful flower garden
and somebody brings you gorgeous food on a silver platter.
But you will grow if you are sick,
if you are in pain,
if you experience losses,
and if you do not put your head in the sand,
but take the pain and learn to accept it,
not as a curse or punishment,
but as a gift to you
with a very, very specific purpose.

To all Parents

To all Parents

"I'll lend you for a while a child of mine," He said.
"For you to love the while she lives and mourn for when she's dead.
It may be six or seven years, or twenty-two or three,
But will you, till I call her back, take care of her for me? She'll bring her charms to gladden you, and should her stay be brief,
You'll have her lovely memories as solace for your grief."
"I cannot promise she will stay; since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn.
I've looked the wide world over in My search for teachers true
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes I have chosen you.
Now will you give her all your love, not think the labor vain,
Nor hate Me when I come to call to take her back again?"
"I fancied that I heard them say, "Dear Lord, Thy will be done!
For all the joy Thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we run.
We'll shelter her with tenderness, we'll love her while we may,
And for the happiness we've known, forever grateful stay;
But should the angels call for him much sooner than we've planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand!"

Healing Grace

May a quiet strength bring you grace

This figure is intended to be a healing and hopeful piece to those who are overcoming illness or experiencing grief, and need to draw upon their personal strength.

This piece is about making room for grace. We encounter things everyday that might not, on the surface, seem like blessings; but perhaps if we wait – be patient, hope, trust – they might become our biggest strengths that we can draw upon.
Susan Lordi

Zoe's grace and courage throughout her illness has been my greatest inspiriation to find peace and acceptance.

Set Free

When all was quiet
And we were sad
Thinking of the
Times we'd had

A butterfly
... Then came to us
Flew around
Without a rush

Showed us how
He'd been set free
Drifting off
Where we can't see

Helped us know
He's on his way
We'll treasure this
Each passing day.

~ Sharon Kortas

Please don't

Please don't ask me if I'm over it yet.
I'll never get over it.
Please don't tell me she's in a better place.
She's not here with me.
Please don't say she isn't suffering any more.
I haven't come to terms with why she had to suffer ...at all.
Please don't ask me if I feel better.
Bereavement isn't a condition that clears up.
Please don't tell me at least you had her for so many years.
What year would you like your loved one to die?
Please don't tell me God never gives us more than we can bear.
Please just say you're sorry.
Please just say you remember her if you do.
Please mention her name.
Please be patient with me when I am sad.
Please just let me cry.

The Rose Beyond The Wall

Dad's Rose
The Rose Beyond The Wall

A rose once grew where all could see,
sheltered beside a garden wall,
And, as the days passed swiftly by,
it spread its branches, straight and tall....

One day, a beam of light shone through
a crevice that had opened wide ~
The rose bent gently toward its warmth
then passed beyond to the other side...

Now, you who deeply feel its loss,
be comforted ~ the rose blooms there ~
Its beauty even greater now,
nurtured by God's own loving care.

Rainbows

LOOK FOR ME IN RAINBOWS

Time for me to go now, I won't say goodbye,
Look for me in rainbows, way up in the sky.
In the morning sunrise when all the world is new,
Just look for me and love me, as you know I loved you.
...
Time for me to leave you, I won't say goodbye,
Look for me in rainbows, high up in the sky.
In the evening sunset, when all the world is through,
Just look for me and love me, and I'll be close to you.

It won't be forever, the day will come and then
My loving arms will hold you, when we meet again.

Time for us to part now, we won't say goodbye,
Look for me in rainbows, shining in the sky.
Every waking moment, and all your whole life through
Just look for me and love me, as you know I loved you.

Just wish me to be near you,
And I'll be there with you.

The simple gift of a hug

The Hug!
It’s wonderous what a hug can do.
A hug can cheer you when you’re blue.
A hug can say, “I love you so,”
Or, “Gee, I hate to see you go.”
A hug is, “Welcome back again.”
And, “Great to see you! Where’ve you been?”
A hug can soothe a small childs pain,
and bring a rainbow after rain.
The hug! There’s just no doubt about it-
we scarcely could survive without it!
A hug delights and warms and charms.
It must be why God gave us arms.
A hug can break the language barrier,
and make your travels so much merrier.
No need to fret about your store of ‘em,
the more you give, the more there’s more of ‘em.
So stretch those arms without delay
and give someone a hug today!

Angel Signs

Do you often see the numbers 11:11?  I have a friend that sees this sign on a regular basis. I see it occasionally, mainly on the digital clock, sometimes on emails sent from this friend who sees this number all the time, sometimes on car number plates, no matter where, it always gets my attention.  I did some research on it and found out that it is a very spiritual number connected with Angels.  In Doreen Virtue's  book called 'Healing with the Angels', she says your angels often communicate messages by showing you a sequence of numbers.   Since reading Doreen's book, seeing the number 11:11 gives me a sense of comfort, believing that angels are around.   Sitting in a waiting room flicking through a magazine on the 11th November, 2011 (11:11:11), coincidently, my son's birthday, I came across an article on 11:11:11 and angels. An amazing experience of synchronicity.

In the article, the person says that  on a particular gloomy day in a very low point in her life,  she heard a voice say,  'look at the clock'  and 'make a wish'.  It was 11:11. Intrigued she told her friend who pointed out that she had seen the clock at 11:11 on the 11th November, 11:11:11:11.  This gave her goosebumps.  She goes on to say from that day she was given strength and purpose and she felt like she was being guided in her life decisions.

Here was I reading an article about 11:11 and angel signs on 11th November, 2011.  This was a bit of a 'gobsmack' experience and I felt it was  confirmation for me of the connection of the number 11:11 and angels.  So if you  consistently see the numbers 11:11 it may just be that your angels are trying to get a message to you and you may like to 'make a wish!'

Rainbow and Butterfly Angel Sign:- Beyond Words

Saturday, November 21, 2009
I would like to introduce readers to a lovely website which may prove to be helpful for anyone who is grieving:- www.beyondwords.net.au Aileen Wait's website promotes a book she co-wrote with Lea McDonald. Their book/journal is aptly called "Beyond Words" and features of course a beautiful rainbow and butterfly on the front. This journal is designed to help people through their grief by providing a sacred place for wonderful memories to be stored. "Beyond Words" is dedicated to Aileen's daughter Zoe who joined the Angels in 2004.
I have been talking with Aileen over the past few months about her website and was very excited to check it out myself just last week. You can imagine what I said when I saw the cover of Aileens book:- Of course it has a rainbow on it!!! If you have been reading my blogs you will see that the Angels have had me write about rainbows for some time now; even my last blog featured a picture of an 'Earth Bound Rainbow'. The synchronicities with the Rainbow sign just keep coming.

The butterfly is a beautiful 'Angel Nature Sign'. I believe that my father has been sending me butterflies for years now; he passed in 1985 when I was 22. Every time I see a butterfly I instantly think of my wonderful father and feel him close to me. The butterfly is a nature sign that has many meanings including:- renewal & rejuvenation, the ability to bounce back form disappointments & setbacks and also a wonderful transformation of spirituality. The butterfly stands for metamorphosis, beauty, grace, balance and symbolises the human soul.
I would like to wish Aileen many Angel blessings as she continues her work with those who are grieving. I encourage you all to support her work by buying "Beyond Words" for yourself or someone who may benefit from it. Check out her website at www.beyondwords.net.au

Till next time notice all the rainbows and butterflies the Angels send you.

Forgiveness

To err is human; to forgive, divine
(Alexander Pope)

What I have learnt forgiveness to mean for me.
Forgiveness is not about forgetting, it is not about condoning what has happened and it is not necessarily reconciling with the person who has hurt you.  Reconciliation is always a choice.  Your choice.

Forgiveness is letting go of the need to hang onto anger, resentment and hatred and the need to make the other person change or apologize.  Forgiveness is what you do for yourself.

It is letting go of the need to retaliate and hurt them back.
It is letting go of the need to justify why you shouldn't have to forgive them.
It is just letting go.

However, forgiveness does not mean that you have to be a doormat for anyone and sometimes you need to set boundaries to protect yourself from any further hurt.

Carrying resentments is like taking poison and waiting for the other person to die!.  When I read this saying I realised that it was time to let go.  Who wants to keep on taking poison for the rest of their life.  When you can actually send them blessings then you know you have forgiven them.  This step is very hard and may take a long time.  It definitely is a process but in the end you need to let it go because all this toxic energy can affect your health.  Hanging on to resentments can also make us bitter and not much fun to be with.

Steps for letting go:

  • Acknowledge that you need to forgive
  • Be willing to forgive
  • Say a positive affirmation - I release the past and forgive everyone. I go free to be loving, harmonious and happy.
  • Ask for Divine Help - Call on the Angels (Archangel Michael to help cut cords to negative relationships)
  • Practise meditation to release negative feelings
  • Journal thoughts and feelings
  • Participate in a 'Burning Bowl Ceremony' which is where you write down your feelings or write a letter to the person and then burn it.
  • Have a reiki or hands on healing session
  • Take Bach Flower Remedies
  • Set boundaries - Take your power back and don't allow others to control you.  Sometimes our own lack of self worth allows others to take our power.   Sometimes we are people pleasers and find it hard to say no.  We would rather do what others think we should do rather than hear their disapproval.
  • Stop talking about it to everyone you meet, although it is good to talk it over with a trusted friend to help you understand and clarify your feelings.
  • Then quit talking about it and rehashing time and time again.
  • Send them blessings or say a prayer for their well being.  This usually does not happen immediately.  Only after grasping the concept of forgiveness and then working through the different stages do  we come to this final step.  It also depends on the length of time the hurt went on and depends on the degree of hurt.
  • Then set yourself free to be loving, harmonious and happy.
  • Let it go for your own sake.  You deserve it.  Do it for your own self worth.
  • If all else fails seek the help of a professional counselor although I did  this myself it was not until I fully understood what forgiveness means that I felt I had the power to actually forgive.  My counselor told me that "Forgiving is not forgetting, it is remembering and letting it go."  But she didn't really tell me how to do it.  Hence all the research I have been doing.
Forgiving is actually a very powerful thing to do, it is not the easy option at all.  Hanging onto the hurt means we don't have to do the work of forgiveness but in the end we need to do it for our own health.  We waste so much of our precious energy going over and over the past.  Take the love and lessons from the past but let the past go.

Challenging people and situations are sent to you as your most important teachers.  Without them your soul would not grow.  And that is exactly what these challenges are, I believe, lessons for our soul.  Learning how to forgive is one huge lesson to learn.

Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with intent of throwing it at someone else:  you are the one getting burned. - Buddha

Father, forgive them: for they know not what they do. - Jesus

Shanti  (Wishing you Peace)
